First thing, first! There’s no official support for 1440P. But you’ll still be able to connect a 1440p screen to your PS5 and play games, but what you are getting is a 1080p signal upscaled to 1440p.
What does PS5 support then? 1080p/120hz and then next is 4k at 120HZ.
What you must know!
You must know that HDMI 2.1 is NOT necessary for 120hz, it’s only required for 4K resolution at 120hz. We have some 2.1 cables here though, if you like to buy one for one incase upgrading to 4k-120hz in future. HDMI 1.4 and 2.0 are confirmed working at 1080p/120hz in supported high framerate games.
We want to compile a list of confirmed gaming monitors that work with the PS5. There is a large chunk of monitors that won’t work.
And here’s the list of monitors (1080p/120HZ) that works. don’t get stuck at 60hz.!
